I am the True Vine. John 15.1-11, Dr. David Huang. Because Jesus is the true vine, God the Father is the vinedresser or farmer, and we, God’s people, the elect, are the branches, 1) we are to abide in the true vine, Jesus, so we can be nourished by His Word; 2) we are to be pruned so we can bear fruit in glorifying God; and 3) we are to abide in Jesus’s love and His joy will be in us.
