These Biblical promises and statements have been arranged here for the encouragement of the true believer in Jesus Christ.  There are times in every Christian's life when he/she is not able "to see the forest through the trees."  These verses are for just such a time.  Read them and be wonderfully reminded of who you are in Christ and what you have because of your relationship with Him.

 

  • I am a sinner - Rom. 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

 

  • But God loves me - I John 4:10 "This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."

 

  • Jesus Christ Himself died for my sins - Rom. 5:8 "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

 

  • My sins are definitely forgiven - Eph. 1:7 "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace."

 

  • I am reconciled to God - II Cor. 5:18,19 "All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation."

 

  • I am redeemed - Gal. 3:13 "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: ‘Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.'" Eph. 1:7 "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace."

 

  • I am justified - Rom. 3:24 "...and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."

 

  • I am set apart from the world and to God, sanctified - I Cor. 6:11 "And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."

 

  • I possess His peace and His righteousness - Rom. 5:1 "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ

 

  • I share the very righteousness of God - II Cor. 5:21 "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."

 

  • I am holy and blameless in God's sight - Col. 1:22 "But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation." Eph. 1:4 "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight."

 

  • He considers me clean, whiter than snow - Isaiah 1:18 "'Come now, let us reason together,' says the Lord. ‘Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.'" I John 1:7 "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin."

 

  • No one can accuse me - Rom. 8:33,34 "Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.  Who is he that condemns?  Christ Jesus, who died-more than that, who was raised to life-is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us."

 

  • God has forgotten my sins, even tomorrow's sins - Heb. 8:12 "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.'" Psa. 103:12 "As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us." I John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

 

  • The record of my sins and their requirements have been torn up and destroyed - Col. 2:14 "...having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross."

 

  • I am at peace with God - Col. 1:20 "...and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross." Rom. 5:1 "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."

 

  • I am a new creature, a new being, a new essence - II Cor. 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"

 

  • I am a vital part of the body of Christ - I Cor. 12:27 "Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it."

 

  • I am God's child - John 1:12 "Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."

 

  • I am the temple of God. His Holy Spirit dwells in me - I Cor. 3:16 "Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?" John 14:17 "...the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him.  But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you."

 

  • I am a complete, whole person - Col. 2:10 "And you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority."

 

  • I was chosen by God before all time - Eph. 1:4 "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight." Rom. 8:29 "For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers

 

  • I am God's handiwork. He did not make a mistake - Eph. 2:10 "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

 

  • I was fearfully and wonderfully made - Psa. 139:14 "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."

 

  • God is for me! - Rom. 8:31 "What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?"

 

  • I am constantly on God's mind - Psa. 139:2 "You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar."

 

  • God will never give me up or abandon me - Heb. 13:5 "Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.'"

 

  • God rescues and protects me from all harm - Psa. 91:9,10 - "Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling."

 

  • God has given his angels orders to protect His own - Psa. 91:11 "For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways."

 

  • Nothing and no one is able to separate me from God's love - Rom. 8:38,39 "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

 

  • I am seated in heaven - Eph. 2:6 "And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus."

 

  • I am free - John 8:36 "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."

 

  • God will supply all my needs - Phil. 4:19 "And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus."

 

  • I am a citizen of heaven and member of God's family - Eph. 2:19 "Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household."

 

  • I am being renewed to the likeness of Christ - Col. 3:10 "...and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator."

 

  • I have been furnished with everything good - Psa. 84:11 "For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless."

 

  • I have victory over death - I Cor. 15:57 "But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

 

  • I have freedom from the slavery to sin - Rom. 6:22 "But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life."

 

  • I am enjoying the fullness of life - Col. 2:10 "and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority."

 

  • I have eternal life - I John 5:13 "I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life."

 

  • I have an abundant life available to me - John 10:10 "The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

 

  • I have bold and confident access to God - Eph. 3:12 "In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence."

 

  • I have all spiritual blessings - Eph. 1:3 "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ."

 

  • I am freely given God's grace - Eph. 1:6 "...to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves."

 

  • I have an inheritance from God and I am the inheritance of God - Eph. 1:11 "In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will." Rom. 8:17 "Now if we are children, then we are heirs-heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory."

 

  • My inheritance is sealed with the Holy Spirit - Eph. 1:13,14 "And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession-to the praise of his glory."

 

  • I have the mind of Christ - I Cor. 2:16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?"

 

  • I have a sound mind - II Timothy 1:7 "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline."

 

  • I am to formulate judgments and Godly convictions - I Cor. 2:15 "The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment."

 

  • I have the ability to know the mystery of God's will - Eph. 1:8 "...that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding."

 

  • I have truth - John 16:13 "But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come."

 

  • If I ask anything according to His will, He will grant my request - I John 4:14,15 "And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God."

 

  • I have everything I need for Godliness - Heb. 13:20,21 "May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen."

 

  • I have been given sufficient faith as a gift from God - Eph. 2:8,9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast."

 

  • I have an advocate, a defense attorney before the Father - I John 2:1 "My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense-Jesus Christ, the Righteous One."

 

  • I have the very life of God in me - Rom. 8:9-11 "You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.  But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.  And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you."

 

  • I have the same great power available to me that raised Christ from the dead - Eph. 1:19,20 "...and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms."

 

  • I have the power of God in me - Acts 1:8 "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

 

  • I have the boldness of a lion - Proverbs 28:1 "The wicked man flees though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion."

 

  • God will not allow me to be shaken - Psa. 55:22 "Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous fall."

 

  • I have strength for every situation - Phil. 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

 

  • I have authority over the power of Satan - Eph. 6:10,11 "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armour of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes."

 

  • I am an heir of God, a joint heir with Christ - Rom. 8:17 "Now if we are children, then we are heirs-heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory."

 

  • I am a part of God's family - Gal. 4:4,5 "But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive the full rights of sons."

 

  • I am a part of the priesthood - I Peter 2:5,9 "You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light."
